E07: From sorrow springs optimism - conservation in the Pacific
In the week of the announcement from scientists that the Baiji is now sadly extinct, we interview Sue Miller-Taei, Marine Programme Manager with Conservation International and Pacific Regional Adviser with the International Fund for Animal Welfare, about the challenges of conservation in the Pacific Ocean basin.
Sue gives words to the sorrow we all share at the loss of the Baiji (also known as the Yangtze River dolphin) but also shines a light on the conservation leadership being demonstrated by countries and communities in the Pacific Islands Region.
