E09: Opportunity Revealed - The World of International Environmental Law
This week we speak with Professor Al Gillespie, an expert in international environmental law working within the academic system as a law professor, an author of significant note and also a consultant to government delegations and conservation organisations.
Al describes a world that is often poorly understood – how precisely international law works, what does environmental law actually do and how is it relevant to protecting wildlife. He articulates the challenges, hurdles and conundrums of working in this field and gives some insight into a world where the pendulum can swing between significant disappointment and immense rewards.
